After buying my first bug it arrived 3 days later on a trailer. Checking it out I found out about the hood being in the condition it was in. The very next day I contacted a body shop that was reccomended to me (Sheldon’s Auto Body) once the hood was taken down to bare metal and beautifully repaired it was brought back and the Sheldon’s put it back on with the perfect body gaps. I sent the rear passenger fender back to their shop with them. The fender was ripped and had numerous dents and had been hit numerous times. It looked as if it had been in a tornado for 20 minutes. With this being my very first attempt getting a bug back into beautiful condition, all the damage was good for me to learn how to deal with. I now know how to find those with the right skills to get the work done properly since I can no longer do the work myself since my stroke in 2012.
