I’m Eric I have a 1974 Mexican beetle imported from Germany in September 2020.
I purchased the car in March of 2021, it was blue and silver two tone with blue wheels and seed sacks for interior. The car came home and went to Uwharrie European and had the suspension done, 2 1/2″ drop spindles and a 4″ narrowed beam and one click in the back.The car color is a Chocolate cherry pearl 4 stage custom one off color. I did all body work, paint, and interior with the help of my son and wife.
The only thing I did not touch was the seat they were under the ugly seed bags.It then left the mechanics and went to the body shop I worked at and she came apart for paint and interior. I had 4 days to paint it from Thursday night till Monday morning, then put the interior in and brought it home to finish the trim. Took it to Still running 8 car show and won Best Import in May 2021, then got 2nd at Fast Times at Farmington 34.

I’ve name her the Misfit, because she is a misfit of parts, a Mexican body on a German chassis with a 1300 single port stock, with a swing axel trans.
It has 70 doors, 70 deck lid, 76-79 seats.
